  Corktown, Detroit   Corktown Home and Garden Tour    This year's new Home and Garden Tour route will lead visitors to North Corktown, in addition to the ever popular Historic District.  A tour bus and a horse-drawn carriage will provide transportation in style to the 15 sites.  Call (313) 965-5853 to R.S.V.P.   Tickets are $15; horse-drawn carriage ride $5

  Corktown, Detroit   Motor City Makeover   Corktown's Motor City Makeover will focus on cleaning and beautifying Michigan Avenue, North Corktown and Roosevelt Park. We will remove graffiti and plant flowers and trees. To register your group or receive more information on the Motor City Makeover contact Laurene Baldwin. We will me at Roosevelt Park.

  Corktown, Detroit   Roosevelt Park Initiative   The Roosevelt Park Initiative kickoff will be May 17th at the Motor City makeover. We are currently assembling local talent to make a positive statement at Roosevelt Park. With the help of landscape architects, artists, plant suppliers and other motivated citizens we can combat the Broken Windows Theory by publicly displaying our commitment to keeping Corktown safe and beautiful. the Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services, Detroit Synergy, Southwest Solutions and Chrysler have already graciously volunteered to help our cause.   Every 1st Tuesday of Every Month

  Corktown, Detroit   Resident Council   All are welcome to attend. the Resident Council meetings at  6:30 p.m.. on the 1st Tuesday of every month, except for holidays.
